Hi all,
In my search to try to iron out a miss I get at higher rpm and under low rpm boost in my 850R I'm thinking about replacing my ignition coil. Distributor rotor and plugs only a few years old, so will be doing coil, cap and leads as part of this.
Considering getting an MSD blaster ss, which I believe is what is included in the IPD ignition coil upgrade kit, and just making up a bracket myself somehow. I'd buy the IPD one, but with $55 or so postage it isn't great value if I can achieve the same results by just buying and fitting the main component. Is anyone able to tell me if the below product is all I need? Or is it necessary to get a special lead from the coil to the distributor, since the terminal on this looks different to the standard coil. The kit also seems to include just the end plug section- do you just cut your old cord and fix this end cap to it?
Any advice would be great, cheers.
Alternatively, if anyone is selling the ipd kit I'd be interested.
