G'day guys, I appreciate the responses.
My old Volvo v70R (written off) an old electrician for a bit of cash hooked up an aftermarket headunit, 4 channel amp ect. He was quite switched on. He ended up testing all the speaker wires and then hooked them up to a small 4 channel amp you can fit behind the radio. But back to the current project.
I'm not into keeping the existing unit. What I am doing is bypassing the Dolby surround sound system and installing my own 4 channel amp and sending new wires from each speaker to it. Then adding another monoblock amp and running 2 x 10" subs.
I got impatient with myself and started hacking into it last night and made progress (headunit turns on) But there are some cryptic wires in the pre existing wiring loom. I did go to an alpine shop yesterday and the guy said he didn't have any pre existing adaptors so I didn't look into it any further.
As in the photo, the existence of these wires has confused me.
Pink wire
Orange and black
Light blue and white (think that's the amp)
And the second black wire
and second green and brown.
Cheers for the assistance.
