Thought I would offer this up before I put it in storage or part it out.
1980 262C, Australian delivered.
I bought this early last year planning to restore it but ended up getting a better one. I have no use for it anymore.
Warning; major project, lots of rust, parts missing, doesn't run, needs full bare shell rebuild.
Standard B27E/BW55, engine is stuffed, auto might be ok but untested.
Does not include front windscreen, windscreen trim, radio, steering wheel, alloys, lots of small parts missing, clips, trims etc.
Includes suspension, brakes, steering rack, condition unknown.
Interior is also available, needs re-trim, new carpet etc.
Body is extremely rusty, when I got it there was some rust showing, cracks in the paint in places etc. Once I stripped it back it showed how bad it really is, its full of fibreglass and filler. Rust is all throughout the body shell, firewall, floors, sills, roof, boot floor, panels etc.
Also available is a good condition B27E, rust free boot lid. I also have a 264 I'm currently parting with a decent body shell, which could be useful for cutting repair pieces from.
History; it was sold new in Melbourne in early 1980, I don't think the first owner had it for very long, it came up at a dealer in NSW in the early 2000s, it's had a few owners in the clubs since then, last registered around 10 years ago. That's about all I know about it.
Located in Point Cook Vic. $900.
As I got it.
After uncovering the rust.
There's some info on it here
