The parcel shelf at the rear must be removed first.
See in the pic above, how the line to the screw [16] takes a zig-zaggy course? Okay.
Now, see that little eyelet in the top rear seat backrest, just above the number [12]? Good.
There is a bit of steel that's bent over that eyelet on each side; fold it over so the eyelet and seat back can be lifted forwards (i.e. towards the front of the car). Then, once clear of the eyelets, the seat back must be lifted upwards.
There are two or 3 little metal tongues which fit into the rear parcel shelf support panel, into an [18], each tongue being about 0.75 inches long. The tongues themselves have been a bit truncated from the pic above. When these tongues pop out of each [18], the seat back is then out.
