I've been pondering over this for a few weeks, not sure if i really want to, but, here goes...
Mrs B and I have decided it is time for a change and reluctantly, that means the Silver Brumby is up for sale.
Ever since we moved out west, she has been sitting idle in the garage most of the time. I get a work vehicle every other week and the missus has had another car as a daily so there's not really been much need to fire the Focus up. We put 35k highway miles on her in quick time when we first moved out here and were traveling back to the coast, but since then we would have been lucky to have put another 5k on her in the last 12 months.
It was originally owned by my friend, Rob Williams, a fellow XR5 forum member. Rob had a long battle with cancer and sadly passed away in late 2012. The car had been his passion. As his health failed and he lost the ability to drive, he channeled his efforts into modifying the car. His desire was to build it up to UK ST3 level (Oz delivered cars were ST2.5) plus a few tasteful aftermarket items. This is why he had the car rebadged as an ST.
Before Rob passed away he expressed a desire that his car to go to someone from within the XR5 community that shared his passion for the cars. Mrs B & I were chuffed to be able to accommodate Rob's wishes and ownership transferred to us in January 2013. It's been a great 4 years with a lot of enjoyable moments, the highlight being a three week tour around Tasmania and the Victorian Great Ocean Road region in 2015.
The XR5 has a Volvo 5 pot turbo with a 6 speed manual transmission. The car has been extensively modified and has been a real pleasure to own and drive. The following is a list of the mods made to the "Brumby" by RW and ourselves:

The car has traveled 83,000km and registration is not due until January 2018.
Full service record is available on request. Car was serviced by Tilford in Hobart when RW owned her and mostly by Sinclair Ford in Sydney under our ownership. Since we moved to the country, we have had the car serviced by our local mechanic. The car has just had a wheel alignment and suspension check done with no issues found.
The car is in excellent condition inside and out with only a couple of minor cosmetic issues worth mentioning. Firstly, the leather on the driver's seat bolster is worn where my hip rubs the seat as I climb in and out of the car. Secondly the clear coat finish on the Carbon Fibre bonnet lip has been peeling. I will attempt to rectify this before any potential sale.

Price is fairly firm at $17800. I am willing to hear offers but lowballing will be treated with contempt. This is a lot of car for the price. Well sorted and well loved.
