Hey everybody...
I REALLY wanted a GT Instrument cluster for my 1971 164 4-speed car.
A guy had an NOS one in Italy, cubic dollars exchanged hands (but less than I thought) and it arrived today!
He was good to his word, and it is NOS with the original Volvo packaging and instructions.
Unfortunately, it's for a 140 series, so I will have to send it out and have the tachometer electrics modified. Any suggestions where I might have this done?
Also, since it is from Italy, it is in KPH. I have had people tell me that I don't have to exchange the speedometer gear. Anyone have more knowledge on that? My Volvo dealer here in the states had never even seen one of these, so he was of no help.
I have never seen one with all of the packaging...

This was actually pretty fortunate for me. The flashlight worked fine until I actually tried to adjust it, and poof, no more dash lights. Then, since I had not broke enough things, I reset the trip odometer, and that reset to zero, but never worked again...
(Sigh...)
That's all taken care of now!
My car came with the European tail lights, so it's already half way there. Now the instruments are in Kilometers, I might just put Euro turn signals in...
