TerryA There's a set in Perth for $1195. What I can remember they were in good condition. His name is Henry and has an ad on Gumtree. Nice person to deal with.

TerryA If they are in excellent condition with good rubber then yes. If they need rubber then half it. You still need to transport east. I had a set of 16x7 bare rims shipped from Sydney to Perth via E-go and that cost me $140 with insurance so should give you an idea. I can make contact with Henry if you want to go and look at them and get more photos if you want as well.

I will just hang back for now as I'm just getting an idea of values. They do look like good ones. Otherwise there is a 240 wagon in Sydney with a set of hydras and the whole car is 5k. That could be more of interest. I will be in touch if I go ahead with it. Much appreciated. Thanks for advise.
Vee_Que Honestly, over 600 with tyres that aren't brand new ones is too much. There are more options now got rims than before!
Ex850R As Alex says, so many options for brand new (non Volvo cheese ones) with widths, diameters and proper offsets. Check out other threads on this forum, lots about wheels.
goodenough thanks guys. I like to keep things looking original from the outside. I just really like the hydra wheels on 940s. But yeah I'm not about the spend 1200 on wheels. I have a $200 mint set of dracos at the moment so I'm just investigating. It's a shame hydras are so expensive!! Wtf
goodenough I saw a 1990 Volvo 740 b230ft auto on car sales for 2000$ with a mint set of hydras.. some people get bargains! I still think about that car and the lucky bastard who gotnit
Vee_Que blondejay;110777 wrote1200 is a common price on decent wheels. Quality wheels are pulling 2000+ used. Not for Volvo rims.... Hydras especially, even Geminis which are 16x7 are only worth 800, in excellent condition, with good brand tyres.
Slowbrick Yeah nah dont pay $1200 for Hydras. To put it in perspective I bought a set of Geminis with tyres for $400. I also bought a set of Galaxies with tyres for $350. Now those are very cheap prices and I was in the right place at the right time. That being said I managed to get another set of Geminies for $400 for another forum member so lightning does strike twice. If you arent in a huge rush then I suggest waiting and keeping your eye out because you never know what might come up. $1200 isnt even close to the retail price for Hydras. Then again an item is only worth what the buyer is willing to pay for it. TLDR: $1200 is too much for Hydras and you might be best of waiting to see if anything comes up cheaper if you arent in a rush.
Spac I've never gotten more than $250 for a set of Hydras with used tyres. $1200 is fantasy land stuff.
