bobby1970 My friend I purchase my 244 from many years ago bought this compresser to put in my 240,today cleaning out garage I grabbed it can't believe it's still new and genuine part
carnut222 That's a Diesel Kiki, not a York. The earlier 240s had a York piston-type compressor. The later rotary compressor you have there is far superior to the York piston-type compressor, so good for you! :)
bobby1970 Thankyou so much so putting in new compresser mean changing ps pump and new ac bracket, correct
carnut222 Yep, the brackets are different for the 2 types of compressor. I think some dealer-installed or aftermarket A/C systems for the earlier cars in Australia used the better rotary compressor, so you might be able to find a used bracket that suits your new compressor and old-style power steering pump. In fact the later brackets may also work with your old-style power steering pump. By old-style power steering pump I mean the one that has the sort of pyramid-shaped reservoir that's integral to the pump. The newer cars had the reservoir remote-mounted near the battery, then the very latest 240s had the reservoir mounted back on the pump.
