They have looked after me in Melbourne since I've owned this funny little rattly thing of an S40, Now I'm moving states, I'm going to be living near enough Parramatta. who / where is the Berrys of Sydney?
Humorously, stopped at traffic lights on my way home, a chap in a turbo Skoda wagon pulls up along side..
"Mate! Is that a pearl on your Volvo!"
"?... Oh! nah mate, Its a blue paint that's faded and looks purple"
"HA! Looks great!"
Silly little Ovlov.

We don't have anyone quite like Berry. The two options are Annlyn Volvo, who are a dealership but quite friendly with the community, and there's Savvas Automotive in Alexandria. Savvas is good, he's also the listed model contact in Rolling magazine for a couple different models.
Philia_Bear
The closest thing to Berry's is Lupica Motors in morebank
I highly recomend them, Joe Lupica owns the business and is the head mechanic and knows volvos inside and out

Nothing quite like Berry's oh Sydney peeps, you are missing out. : '(
Thanks for those contacts. I'll annoy them when I break things.
Due for a tensioner, pump, belt, engine mounts, bunch of rubbers I suppose, (200k travelled)
Will see how I go.

A quick google suggests spare parts are had at Landmark Auto Spares / Fairfield?
I'm worried my S40 seats are cracked along the stitching enough to fail a roadworthy..

Second vote for Lupica, Joe is awesome and pretty well priced too - as honest as they come

What sort? We bought a pair of S40 leather front seats from the wrecker for like $100 in great condition.

You guys should have said he was into Motorbikes, I would have worn my Ducati hat :P
Goodness they are good, He and his wife. Turns out they were in Melbourne just last weekend, ah we had a good ol' chat.
Joe reckons the seats will be fine, He doesn't do blue slips however. But James, they are creamy / grey Leather (early no airbags, no electronic adjustment) from a T4. Perhaps I reserve the right to PM if they do fail. A lot of the stitching is undone across the base.
Thanks for the contact guys.
Spac
I have some seats with intact stitching if you get stuck.
Chris
Umm they do have airbags, mechanically triggered. You need to be careful to replace them with phase 1 seats only or you will lose the functionality because phase 2 seats are electronically triggered.
You also need to be careful replacing them. There are orange keys in the side covers that slot in to stop the detonator blowing the bag up in your face.
bowie
Oh, good to know.
Previous mechanic indicated that the early non elec adjustable seats didn't have airbags..
I'll be careful.
bowie
Ah it's all going to be ok, passed no worries, I'll worry about the seats next year :D
Chris
I'd keep a watching brief on wrecked S/V40s, good front seats are hard to find. Also hit Spac up. He may have some when you're ready

Well At the RTA.. sorry Roads Maritime Authority. Dude who have me a blue slip listed it's weight as (2987kg)
Clearly a mistake, RTA, still need me to get another Blue Slip.
FFFFFFFFFFUUUUUuuuu

Welcome to the NSW rego system.
I had a bloke miss a digit in the body number on a blue slip once. Even had the counter drone agree what and where the missing digit was, but the only way to fix it was another blue slip. Instead, I just let them register it wrongly...

Berry's of Tasmania??? :#

@Spac. You are free! :D / And I wouldn't have cared if wasn't so much extra $$$ because of the weight. :(
@dyl. Now that is a question. We should collate a list across the country so we can travel around the place.
But speaking of Berry's in Tas...
