What a beaut!!!
And the accessories....
a radio, a left side mirror and Virgo wheels ( can't see if they're 14" or 15").
This one looks to have held up exeptionally well, especially with 500+ks.

Not to talk down what does appear to be an above average example of its age, there's a few rough edges and/or a few things that would warrant further investigation:
The dark brown door trims against the lighter brown seats/carpet (yes, even allowing for the way the early 240 seats and carpet loved to fade);
Later steering wheel and 'shelf' on the centre section of the dash;
Aftermarket speakers poor fitted to door trims.
Also appears to have the 79 bumpers that were much shinier.
Not saying the car is ready for the wreckers or anything, just that it might pay to look beyond the apparently shiny paint before handing over $3k.

The shelf section of the dash was an accessory. Have one on mine, as well as the original section.
The door trim caper, I defer to you. Again, the red interior on mine has much darker shade of door trim than the seat covering.
The steering wheel and speakers etc., yes, not correct.
Virgos weren't out then either were they? Did they make them in 14"?
Personally, I'd love a set of Virgos on mine, correct or not.
The black paint on the lower sill is not right either. That brings up a flag for me.
Correct me please if wrong on that aspect, I'm a neophyte.
Still a great looking car and if the remaining paint is original, it's a good looking jigger.
Is it worth $3k? At least it's not on non transferable historic rego.

The way some are priced, and the condition they are in makes this a bargain.
I see others at a lower price point that should really be at, a lower price point....
The work needed for some of them, unless you do it all yourself, is too costly for what you end up with. But, peeps buy them. Volvo drivers.... Nutters all of em!

Good point about the black paint on the sills. I saw it and noted it, but it hadn't raised any flags for me - it should have, especially considering that any rust holes at the bottom of the windscreen let's water down into the inside of the sills...
The advertised price on other examples means nothing until they sell. That Black Dynamite dad's super nice, super low kay white one didn't sell instantly from the original $4800 ask, shows that all of the other decent ones at $2500+ are overpriced.

Yep, definitely!

Richo, Virgos were all 15". Didn't come out until 1980, IIRC.

Down to $2500 ono.

Down to $2000ono...

I'd buy this in a heartbeat at $2000 if I didn't already have a brightly coloured 244.

The seat colour is right for the year, my parents' 75 were like that. Trying to remember the door cards, I can recall they were a darkish brown not the same as the seats so they may be right too.
Looks like the car had smaller square speakers in the front doors originally, again I have seen that though they would have been after market as the 75 didn't run to fancy sound systems, or in fact anything at all unless you paid extra...

I have seen this one around Newcastle and can attest to it looking pretty schmick! I think it's been for sale for a while now.
