See pictures below. I am stumped on both.
Tie-rod: This came undone whilst I was cruising, luckily an island separated me from the oncoming traffic after one of my wheels turned 90 degrees on its own accord. Not long ago the guys at Bridgestone told me it was seized when I went in for an alignment so I never bothered checking it.
Question is how can I tighten it when it's just a slick round surface? I know i'm going to have to disassemble it to get a new boot on.
And that bloody seat disease, I had my seats folded for about a month, lifted them up to find that mess. The carpet that it was lying on is immaculate as is the foam under it. Silver lining is it smells like soy sauce.
Any ideas what the cause could have been? As far as I know hasn't come in contact with any fluids, both bodily or mechanical.
