Hi guys,
I've been having a look online for an 18T turbo for my 1996 850R but they seem to be harder to come by than the 19T which is available everywhere.
Anyone happen to be selling an 18T?

Rare as hens teeth.
Easier to build what you want I reckon.
Even a later 16T with 70mm outlet and whack it on a later free flowing manifold will show big gains.
In reality, all the 15/16/18/19 are very small and wouldn't be a massive difference except as you go up size you lose more bottom end grunt.
So what do you want from your engine is the starting g point?
Drive ability or waiting for spool and then top end?
Ideally, don't bother with these old things, get a Garrett ball bearing turbo. Spend now and future proof.

I think i have one
Let me mesure it up on monday when i get back from gc to confirm

Hey @Philia_Bear , it'd be great if you could check that out

Hmm, $2500 for a turbo is unfortunately behind what I want to spend on one. Maybe if I eat just 2 minute noodles for a couple of years...

2m noodles are a complete meal!

Its a 10% markup on what it costs them new
Parts are just that overpriced for new in the usa some times

Mamba mamba mamba. Kinugawa's young estranged better looking, better quality sister
Ghettobird
Since when were mamba better quality than Kinugawa?
They are ebay turbos after all

So in kinugawa, so is, hks, so is turbobricks, so is, tomei, so is a lot of brands. So its garrett. So its Mitsubishi, so is holset.
Mamba is the originator of kinugawa, the owner was apparently forced to sell due to, partners selling off the side.
So formed mamba, and dedicated to build a brand with quality exceeding the former company.
Still manufactured in Taiwan, like a lot of things, and let's face it. And made in China isn't always a bad thing. The thing people forget about China, is they will create a product to a price point set by the customer/client.
If the $ were there you could successfully manufacture any product put of China equal to or greater than the original product. Though you will have to pay for it.
It's that simple.
How many cars are now being made out of China? Is Volvo selling new cars for $15k like some of their home brand vehicles, yet some are getting made in China, even owned by a Chinese company. Who do you think funded that S90 you raved on about...the Chinese. :/

Goodluck with finding one and you will. I run a 19t owens development with ball bering internal with higher compression and plenty of port work it spools quick . Some may call these turbo small, though if you do similar you will be on a winner. Goodluck!
Ovlov has ran the turbos that have been mentioned and has nothing but positive responses..
