familyman http://forums.turbobricks.com/showpost.php?p=5597097&postcount=52 I lost my Volvo directory a couple of months ago, when a HDD chucked a fit. It had many of the greenbooks downloaded. Then I thought, meh - why bother downloading them again - they're all online. Not showing in archive.org either. Typical!
familyman Anyone that does have them, please don't delete them. Viewing them online at volvotips is a pain in the neck! (I just looked at one, and all I can access is the front page.) Considering pooling what you have with others until there's a complete set. Can't believe those USA guys just watched it die without downloading it. The brochures, service books, modifications - ARGH!
Major Ledfoot familyman;106308 wroteNot showing in archive.org either. Typical! Atypical, actually - he has asked archive.org to delete their copies of his site.
familyman > he has asked archive.org Yeah, that's what I mean. He said it's because he has other things to take care of, possibly unwell by the sounds of it. But then goes out of his way to delete it from archive.org This is why I download and store things myself. I was going to. But for the first time in years of doing it I thought, don't bother - maybe later.

Thanks for the offer I found what I needed thankfully. I've got all the 80 240 stuff on stick so if anyone needs it I can share no probs.
Major Ledfoot Speaking of useful sites which have disappeared recently, is anybody else having trouble getting through to ipdown.net? It's the site which kept much goodness about LH2.4 and EZ-K.
jamesinc Honestly everyone send me everything you've got, will take Dropbox links or direct email to james@ozvolvo.org Even if I get tired of running the site some day (not likely), I appreciate the archival value of these manuals and will ensure they are distributed thoroughly before taking them down. Will also host the entire archive as a torrent.
familyman Yeah torrent is the way so stuff never dies. I know he's had that site up for years as a service, but gee... to deliberately remove it and then request deletion by archive.org too. Maybe he was directed to - but there was no mention of that being the reason - so it's like... I better shut up before I say it. I'll check all my hard and thumb drives again, but I don't think I have any at all. My "Volvo" folder was open on an external HDD, undocked the laptop, when I docked it again, Windows displayed a popup warning not to undock without closing open directories first - and that directory was wiped! (Never would have happened with XP. Thanks yet again microsoft.)
jamesinc If anyone missed the link, I've set up a Dropbox https://www.dropbox.com/request/SJtQR35mGr1zZOEyiU7V
Major Ledfoot jamesinc;106503 wroteI've received 5GB of data so far, but there is plenty more to come! You bet there is. Only sent you the 240 stuff so far. There's still the 140, 164, 1800, 7 and 9 stuff to go...
