1985 260 GLE wagon (auto)

Hi Guys, major change in direction in life and MIGHT have to sell the Volvo wagon (divorce Settlement)

have done a lot of work on this since I bought it last year, (over 2500 spent to get in roadworthy shape)
Will be looking for offers around $3200

Dec 1985 build 7 seater, Dark Blue GLE velour interior all looks to be original and not faded or torn, no cracks in dash pad, auto shifts nicely, brakes are amazing! V6 is running about as well as an odd fire V6 can, Berry Motors did a lot of the pre RWC work (I will try and find receipt for list of stuff)
Rego runs out in Feb - I have not renewed as I was going to change to club rego, but it did pass a roadworthy less that 6 months ago (and around 1200 klm)

Nah, just need more maint than most other Volvo engines

Like most things correct servicing is key. Problem is people think old volvos go forever & consequently neglect servicing them. The v6 will tolerate this less than the redblock hence the stigma attached to them. There's nothing inherently wrong with the engine just that neglect kills them faster than the 4 pot.

Yep, if you never Change the oil.... The 84/85 motor was the best.

Thanks guys, I will get more pictures in the next day or so, really don't want to see it go, as it is a great car, but kind of forced into it, really want to make sure it goes to a good home.

Car has had two previous owners before me, lived most of it's life on Central coast NSW where it was babied, after the husband died the wife sold it to a young guy in Melbourne who drove it to the train station each day, I bought it off him running pretty rough and have brought it (mechanically) back to a good level and fixed everything that had stopped working got roadworthy and been driving it sparingly.

Came with a bunch of receipts including a full engine rebuild around 50 - 60,000 klm ago, transmission work etc Berry did a heap of stuff for me including tailgate wiring suspension work etc, have all receipts. replaced all injector seals etc etc etc

I also have a centre armrest I bought from the states with cup holders and brackets etc in blue leather.

I have removed the third row seats but have everything I took off the car that will obviously go with it.
Would not hesitate to drive this thing anywhere such a nice driving vehicle

And the ID / build plates as mentioned both tags show it as a December 1985 vehicle

Thank you all, looks like the Volvo is going to live back on the Central Coast NSW again, a very happy new owner will be collecting the car shortly!
