The door cards I have are in need of restoration. I believe there are two options, one being to find a perfect set of replacements or two, having the door cards and coverings re-made.

I've looked at a few originals and all have water damage to the bottom of the cards and as I now have electric windows I would like to delete the original window winder hole as well as the original speaker cut out.

Has anyone had new door cards made and if so how close to original did they look.

Finally, does anyone know what the vinyl name or number is for the red/orange highlights on the GT doors and dash. Presently the doors are one colour (two if you count the faded/worn areas) and each of the trim pieces across the dash are all different, and are more of a red than orange.

There's a third option - a reproduction item or NOS from VP Autoparts.

I got a NOS maroon 142 door card from them after all attempts to get one elsewhere came to naught. The shipping from Sweden wasn't a killer either.

Might be worth checking them out, I dunno if they keep 242GT ones there.
Spotting some nice tricky bits in your interior pic, cool indeed.
Is that a boot release switch under the orange on drivers far right?

There are paint shops around who do a mix and put it into a spray can. Take an orange sample and they will get very close - supposing they do paint that will affix to vinyl and plastic.

Off topic, my 240 came with boot realise but it was inoperative, moved it to the dash and rewired it, thought they were an option on the 200 series?
The boot release is from a Ford I think. Put it in very early on and works a treat.

I've been exploring the options and making new door panels is doable with just the covering to be done professionally. The black vinyl is easy. The corduroy I have, its just the orange/red thats proving difficult to nail down. I cannot seem to establish what the colour is exactly. I think the leading edge of the door strip that is hidden by the dash on the front edge is the least faded/dis-coloured so might have to go with that.

As the original vinyl panels were stamped, not sewn, what ever I do will be different. I suppose the speakers installed in the bottom corners take the originality factor out of the equation anyway.
What is the tacho and speedo from or have you changed faces and rotated them?
Dash is a Volvo GT but with the tacho and speedo changed. I had difficulty converting the location of the needles with what speed/revs I was actually doing. Easier to change the gauges than spend time thinking each time I looked down.
