HectorHack Is there any good used AW 55-50 or 51 Trannies out there for sale ?? All help much appreciated...
Philia_Bear They pretty much all dead or dieing Either have someone rebuild the existing one or replace the car Anything second hand will be suspect
bigal @"Hector Hack" Are you going to throw out a 51SN? Could be interested in getting a dud one to play with.

HectorHack Had a scan run on trans yesterday....was told to change dark fluid for new stuff... will see what the results are then....
Philia_Bear Solenoids fail because bad design Clutch packs wear out because soft shifting Bearings fail because fluid never changed A built trans with updated software and new better clutch packs and the aftermarket Solenoids will last for ever if fluid flushed every 60k km
Ex850R Will this fluid change from dark to new cause issues? bigal If one were to change the Tranny fluid in their AW50-51SN but don't have the computer gear to run an adaption then is there some other secret method of performing this? I had read that you can disconnect the battery for 12 hours and then that'll do it but I don't believe that at all.
