Have a 1990 240 wagon. Shocks are flogged and the car is super spongy with a heap of body roll. Wanting to replace shocks/struts and probably put in lower springs.
Any suggestions? Not looking for anything too flash. Was just thinking king springs and cheap shocks from AutoBarn etc.
Cheers.

Kyb (normal ones)
Standard Springs
Falcon 27mm sway bar in front
Stock sedan rear bar
Will handle perfectly (medium understeer easily managed via throttle)

Thanks!
Is Falcon the brand of sway bar?
And does the sedan have a different bar in the rear?
Cheers :)
Spac
Falcon as in EF or EL Ford Falcon.

KYB or Sachs are the best "cheap" shocks. Way better than Monroe, Pedders, Gabriel, etc, and well worth the extra money.

The usual DVS lowering springs plug needs to be put here, because if you don't know about them you should. A lot of people here run them, I do on 2 cars, they're great.

King Springs arent a bad option. We offer them as well as a couple of our own alternative front springs.
You'll see a ride height drop of 30mm (from original standard height) our of a set of King springs and an approx increase in spring rate of 30%
Fronts are 165lbs and rears are 120ish lbs.
Our first alternate spring option is a 250lbs spring which is around 40mm lower than stock and is a good match for the regular King springs. They cost a little more due to low production volumes (compared to a King Springs option) and while we'd recommend them with a decent shock, they're ok with an oem option too (they're just 'that much' better with something like a Bilstein B6 or Koni Sport)
Our second alternate spring option is a 350lbs spring and is lower again. Strongly recommended with a decent shock absorber and geometry correction spacers.
A lot of guys on here run our front spring (the first option) and there is good feedback.
Other than that, another local option would be Lovells, though they're softer again than the off-the-shelf King springs pairs.
We also sometimes have traded in springs that may be of interest, where a customer may trade in a pair of lowered springs on a different pair/set, etc.

Awesome. Thanks for all the info guys :)

These guys do coilovers and lots of bits and pieces. Expensive compared to DVS and king spring/shock combinations

We also offer coilovers, fully serviceable with adjustable bump and rebound.
Regardless of where your requirements fit, if you have a 240, we have some great solutions.
There are some pics on our FB page too -
I'm only an email away if you have questions.
