You right nicko, Aldi tools are not too bad and thanks snoopy and Phonsa, that guide sort of helps me.
Helps me decide that it's time to on sell this S40 to someone who is prepared to pay a professional to fit these parts (or do it them selves.) At 55 years of age and with a vertebrae that is triangular shaped thanks to a little red racing car and an over optimistic approach speed to the hairpin at Matara Hillclimb, I am physically unable to do this job myself and at $93.50 an hour in the local service station, well........
I mostly bought this S40 because I had so much driving enjoyment out of all my previous volvos BUT this S40 is nothing like any of them, I got 6 k's of gravel road to traverse before I hit the tar.
So, if anyone wants a manual 1.8 with 182,000 k on it, 4 brand new tires, rego till 26th of june 2016 (no inspection needed to put on the next 6 months rent) that has 2 new drag links and 2 new sway bar bushes that need to be fitted please let me know.
The irritating thing is, the day I bought it, I was going to buy the Beemer for 1500, but it needed 6 months rego and 4 tires and the S40 was drive away 2500 and it had a rear wing and the air blew cold and all said and done the S40 is a very pretty little car and great to drive on smooth roads...
