Hey I thought to check, do I need some sort of thick square sockety thing to rotate the tensioner on my 960 (1997)?
Looking at replacing the waterpump tonight, and every time I look at the engine I come back with more questions than answers!
Any links to workshop manuals?

its a 3/4" square hole
3/4" T bar or ratchet or an adapter down to 1/2"
whatever floats your goat

Bit of steel bar of the right width and a 90* angle can do wonders

No workshop manual unfortunately but you can get an "Original Technical Publications" DVD.
I'm ordering one from FCP Groton in the USA.

I use a flat garden stake bent at 90 degrees buy @ Bunnings. The 1997 will have a 28mm belt width so be sure to buy the right pump. Aisin call it the WPV-803
