Major Ledfoot The big difference is in the under-seat members between the transmission tunnel and the LH and RH sills.
These are about 3 inches wide in 140s, but about 6 inches wide in 240s. A 240 moulded carpet won't fit correctly without work.
There's also the issue of the area between the front seats - 240s have their handbrake located between the front seats, where 140s have theirs located between the driver's seat and door. Meaning there's carpet between the front seats in a 140.
Thanks for the heads up. The carpet is moulded without holes, so you have to make your own. So the handbrake location on the hump isn't an issue, though it'd need some work beside the driver's door.
I can see what you're talking about now: https://imgur.com/X8DVzYc
This is the carpet. As you can see, unlike the original carpet, it's sold as one piece. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/323389725963?var=512451238334 It is made to order, so it could be ordered with the heel pad on the RH side.
Replacing the heavily faded carpet would be a nice way to freshen up the interior. I'm also after the seat pad covers too, but they're NLA now. I have had some suggestions of dying the carpet, but I am not confident it will fix faded areas properly and will look patchy and besides I don't have any way of doing it here.
