Hoping for some guidance, I know this has been done numerous times. For those who have tackled this, how have you done it? Have you used the original Alfa rails or Volvo? The article I have read states to use Volvo rails and adapt to Alfa seats, however the passenger seat rail from the Alfa does not appear to be easily removable due to not using bolts for fixing to the seat. I would guess that most have used the Alfa rails and adapted to fit to factory mounting fixing points?
edit:
Had these installed today. 2 ways to go about it:
Retain the Alfa rails and alter one of the rear brackets (slightly too short) and need to make equivalent bracket for other side or use Volvo rail bracket. Remove the front floor mount studs and replace with Hex bolts or equivalent as the Alfa rails are too narrow to use Volvo stud and nut combination.Use Volvo rails and follow instructions as per Volvo Uk forum write up. I found the passenger seat rail wasn't easily removable. This may have just been the seat I acquired.
Both options require some effort and time but I would recommend the first option as this requires slightly less work in my opinion and you can store your original seats / rails, if you ever decide to go back.
