Hi everyone, I’m new to this forum .My son recently bought an 89 240 and has been having idling issues since he bought it, we have changed 2 fuel filters, a new catalytic converter fuel pressure regulator ,I cleaned the air filter housing and replaced air filter and cleaned the MAFSensor with CRC MAF spray, I also cleaned to the best of my ability the throttle Body with TB spray. After I cleaned the MAF and TB the idling seemed to have become worse, when the MAF is connected (plugged in)it doesn't hold a steady idl e and engine just conks out I also tried the MAF un plugged it idles better but engine stops when accelerator is applied

Ps I discovered how to use the diagnostic tool with the flashing red blinking lights to read engine codes and it came up with code 131, (RPM signal from EZK missing) does anyone know much about this or had this problem? attached is the diagnostic tool FYI
