EDIT: I’ve removed the ad from the VCV website due to the dodgy nature of the car showing up previously on FB for $1500. Proceed at your own risk...any dramas please let me know and I’ll delete the ad from here too.

From VCV website...please contact seller (details below) if interested. Price may be a bit optimistic given the sunroof issue.

1998 Volvo C70 Turbo Black Coupe with manual transmission

Car has approximately 170,000 kms on the clock, is a manual, two door coupe, turbo, selling without roadworthy and without rego - as per picture sunroof has been replaced with waterproof marine plywood. Only other issue with car is a faulty indicator.

Vehicle is located in Drouin.

Sunroof will need to be completely replaced for RWC. Unfortunately we're not in a position to source parts and would prefer to sell to a buyer without a roadworthy/rego. $5,000 ONO

If you would like more information, please contact Eva on 0490 059 576

Interesting… (yes, it is the same car).

If you send it anywhere , DONT , i recall whomever it was who bought , was it three? And had them posted and all broken....cheaper to have a solid roof put in or some daggy old Volkswagen roll back thing!

Cool car , all I keep seeing is manual conversion for someone and part it out unfortunately

Edit if only it was in WA at 1.5k

        Ive got a 2000 C70 manual,

Everything works same car road registered

Sounds dodgy - 'sunroof has been replaced with waterproof marine plywood & Engine size: -1.0 L' ?

Or is that less than 1 litre in size?

There's no substitute for cubic inches... Car's definitely dodgy!

When a 6SPD conversion is really what you want but pay 1500 for a 5spd and have a shitboxen on the lawn?

That sunroof job is pure lazy, strip the lining out and fix it properly.

Ive had the sun roof out of mine , its tight and fiddly but very doable.

Theres 2 bars that the sunroof uses to pull inside roof back and forward glued on with aircraft type glue at the factory but exposure to temp changes and applied forces they eventually let go and you just open and close the inside panel manually

The ones I saw wanting new glass had abysmal luck .

These are specific to C70 in size, if an insurer was involved it would be written off on the glass alone no matter if the rest was as new.

I have a shed ? wouldn't be the first time I've stripped a car in it . Or throw the automatic in it , fix the roof and save it . And have a manual R at the end .

It amazes me that there is not a producer of aftermarket composite or polycarbonate sunroof skins for these.
