Looking for experience/feedback on Idler arm bush choice from those that have been there, done that please? Rubber, poly, or greasable nipple?
Have been stripping & painting sway bar, pitman and idler arms for Erik the 1800E project the last couple of days. Pulling the pitman arm from the steering box wasn't too onerous, but the idler arm bush was obviously original, reluctant, and an absolute bear to press out. Have previously gone with rubber on other cars, but not sure about quality of rubber bush parts these days? Don't want to revisit in a hurry due to poor part quality, but also don't want to compromise steering geometry and feel.
Would be keen to hear first hand experience thanks.
