AshDVS Question for these of you with 850R wagons with grey interior....Is your roof lining (and grab handles, etc) light grey or biege?I'm at a crossroads with my V70 - V70s with grey interior have a light grey roof lining, but I'm not sure about 850s. The roof lining in my car is very good. If the 850 with grey interior uses a biege roof lining, I might just keep it biege when I do the rest of the interior swap.
rado Mine is grey roof lining with biege grab handles and lights and sun visors . Not so keen on the beige myself, will change to grey at some point.
Drwillis If it's any help I changed my v70 to grey faux suede (just what they had in spotlight) and used charcoal vinyl dye for handles. I changed it since it was sagging into my face. Heres some crappy photos. it looks much better in real life since the texture looks like wrinkles in photos. The centre front lights surround is still beige since I haven't got around to finishing it.
rado egg The suede looks really good. The roof would probably look quite good flocked aswell...Years ago a mate had his mk2 golf dash flocked , looked amazing ?Drwillis If it's any help I changed my v70 to grey faux suede (just what they had in spotlight) and used charcoal vinyl dye for handles. hamsandwich 850R done in beige, was the closest I could find to the old color. But that grey looks great, maybe I'll do it like that next time.Easy to do Ash, I had never done it before, few YouTube vids and some red wine, done!
Drwillis @AshDVS roof lining itself is easy enough. Removing all the trim without breaking anything is the most difficult in this age of car. I found that a good stiff brush got all of the foamy crap off the best but it takes a while. I used the permatex spray stuff but ran out 4/5 the way through and had to finish with contact adhesive. So far no droopage and it's been a year. Id probably stay beige if I did it again just so I wouldnt need to used vinyl dye on the other parts ?

rado I bought the rear right light a couple of months back as mine just fell apart when i flicked the switch , very brittle things
dmm My 850R wagon’s roof lining is grey with dark burr dash trim, darK upholstery and beige grab handles
egg Previously proven roof lining modification https://youtu.be/IyaT05xb208I couldn't find a shorter version...
