Hi all,

I saw these advertised on Gumtree and am just wondering if they're actually 240 wheels? It says Volvo in the advertisement and they look similar (perhaps not identical?) to older 240s. I asked and she said she didn't know what Volvo they came off. My '89 240 doesn't have anything at the moment so I'm wondering if these will go straight on.

I've attached a pic of said wheels.

Cheers

Yes , they are anniversary model , they were on a wagon I had and it had some other extras I cant recal , terrible things , you will soon tire of them being dirty and SO HARD to clean.....

And the tyres in the picture are junk cheap rubbish.

Yeah I don't care so much about the tyres I was going to get a new set anyway. But right now I have nothing on mine and these are local to me. So as long as they fit I'll manage for now!

With the right products and enough elbow grease, they are not hard to clean at all

It's more about the willingness (or unwillingness) to spend enough time on the little details which amount to a big difference

If the paint is no good, you can have them re-painted and clear coated (machine the face of the spokes before clear coating for the factory original look)

The wheels are called corona they are 14" x 5.5" and they were used on 264 and 265's with the large centre cap cover

If you are just after wheels I have a set that came off an 89 240 a week ago. Standard steel wheels and reasonable tyres with lots of tread, the spare is old though would rarely be used, if at all. 4 dress rims, 2 with missing Volvo label. $100 pickup in Melbourne.

Not fancy, though they will be road worthyable.

I'm in Adelaide. Would you be willing to post? Those ones are $300 so unsure if it's worth it

Call Povey's (think that is the correct spelling) in Adelaide. He/they would have plenty they want to throw out. Thiink it is Chris.

Happy to ship them though it is a lot of coin for what many would be throwing out.

If you do call him tell him the red 740 turbo sedan from a few years back has gone to a new home after much mechanical work and is about to be painted and the body brought back to new condition.
