Hi,

I was reading about the bulb failure relay being a common issue on the Volvo 240's and I would like to get one for my stock.

I see Skandix offers a green or yellow relay in a cylindrical shape but I can't seem to find it on my car. I found these 2 relays underneath the passenger foot well rest but i don't think these are for the light failure?

Thanks,

Marty

Nope, those aren't it. Your in the right area, keep looking.

The yellow relay is your rear wiper delay relay, and the black one is the front wiper delay relay As @ramrod said it's up behind the glove box. It will be clipped up there along with a white fuel pump relay. I have spare used ones if you want to pursue that option (depends on colour - could be green or orange I think).

I found a green one up on top of the glovebox in a real awkward space. My Fuel pump relay is just hanging there and looks terrible. Have you pics of where and how these relays should be mounted?

This is all part of a major tidy up of that whole area, as you can see from my other posts today.

Here's what it looks like in a 93 for reference (with the dash removed). The bulb failure, headlight and fuel pump relays are all clipped to the aluminium bracket that also supports the heater/defrosted duct assembly. Hope that helps! It did change a bit from year to year so yours could be slightly different.

Found its home just now...

Also found a dislodged air duct whilst I was in there

Thanks ?
