As the title suggests, are all manual boost controllers equal?
I understand the basic principle, bleed out some pressure to the gate actuator to achieve a higher boost level.
What I am pondering, is if the manual type controllers vary greatly in quality or function?
Say Turbosmart vs GFB vs Chinabay?
I see in the turbosmart docs, there is a ball bearing and spring to act as a valve, but it also states this may result in unwanted boost spikes, and if so remove the bearing and spring.
Just curious about other experience or observations. Its nice that others have likely tried this out first, and are happy to share their knowledge.
