Code p0190

My 06 s40 2.4i lt petrol, i keep have a intermittent engine light with a code p0190 being fuel rail pressure sensor, is that the correct sensors? Others say it could be the map sensor, can anyone please verify, Cheers

It's a common issue so your on the right track. They are relatively cheap online or sandwood trading in Melbourne keep them in stock 03 9898 0314.

Any other codes?

Thanks Tim, no just that reoccurring intermittent p0190 at the moment, so its just the rail pressure sensor? and where do i find it at the fuel tank or engine bay?

Ita on the drivers side end of the fuel rail in the engine bay T25/T30 torx bit to undo it.

Hi Timbo sorry to annoy you again, does the fuel rail re-pressurise itself after depressurising, does that make sense?

No probs man if you turn the ignition on (position2) for about 30 seconds then off and on again a couple of times it will run the fuel pump to prime the rail
