Advertised as an SE but it looks like an S to me.
Low pressure turbo (no boost gauge in tacho), cloth seats (not leather), and standard HVAC (not climate control).
The cargo barrier is a nice extra, and the back looks very clean.
@bgpzfm142 was the SE not also a LPT?
Nope, the SE was a HPT and had a boost gauge in the tacho.
Redbook also has the SE sales stopping the year prior to this. The SE develops more grunt than the wheezy 100kW of the S.
The Westgate part # is the only difference,
Either put a hpt Westgate or a boost controller on the S and it becomes the same as
But without the leather seats and boost gauge?
Always wondered why some of the last 940T's were specced out in poverty pack. One of the best cars they made should've had a better send off.
And steel wheels with hubcaps, non colour coded bumpers and mirrors, manual A/C rather than climate A/C, non heated seats and mirrors and non locking rear axle
This is only on a wagon we're talking about, on a sedan the only turbo you could get was on the 940SE and 940 TURBO, there is no 940S sedan mostly I believe because the final 940's were all wagons
940 wagon was sold through 98 in the Swedish domestic market
The 940s was nice because nothing on it really breaks
Having delt with plenty of 96+ 960 with dead automatic climate modules and dead leather etc
I do regret selling my 96 940s for the 850 10v so long ago
