Hi people.
Well, the two attempts that we have made to purchase a replacement S40 2.4i fell through.
Now looking at a 2011 S40 T5 R-Design, auto, 196,000km - fully kitted out. Sunroof, BLIS, Navigation System, HID lights, etc. Full service history with receipts.
An engine mount has just been replaced. Timing belt done at 150K (Jan 2018). Mileage is now at 197,000 km. I assume this is highway kms, being a 2011 model car.
Dealer is asking $9,000 but is negotiable. https://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/penrith/cars-vans-utes/2010-volvo-s40-m-series-my11-t5-r-design-black-5-speed-automatic-sedan/1222385536
The other option is a
2011 S40 T5 S, auto, with 150,000km. Timing belt just done. Full service history. Private sale, Asking price is $8,600 not negotiable. https://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/montmorency/cars-vans-utes/2011-volvo-s40-t5-s-automatic-sedan/1221919460
So a T5 S vs a T5 R-Design.
The extra kit in the R-Design is attractive, but am hesitant to buy it due to the high KMs.
Should I be concerned about the one with 196,000km enough to choose the one with 150,000km?
Thanks.
