S/V/C70 [solved] Ignition Key Wouldn't Go In

Hi All again,

and today .. Christmas Eve, my sweety is driving to me and the key won't go into the barrel.
The car is a 1998 C70 and now has 82,000 on the clock - so it's kinda "old" and "Not Old".
The NRMA chap got it going but said it's on it's way out.
Any help and suggestions will be appreciated as we don't want to use the car too much
and get stuck somewhere else.

Cheers all,

Pull the barrel out and take it to a competent lock smith, we have at least 2 rebuilt a month by a local locksmith. Far cheaper than buying a new one

    Hot day today.
Mr Auto Keys has been and looked at the lock and said it's nice - just a bit of lint got in there and stopped the rollers working.
Sprayed it with some lock lube and left. Gave us his card n case it happens again soon and he'll give us priority.
    Didn't charge us sixpence!
Thanks all here on OzV for your thoughts and suggestions.
