Yes. They are aftermarket and the stock 3bar ones don't have issues with factory hardware on these cars as they are vacuum referenced. I'm sure even looking it up on ebay would get genuine bosch for under $100

Yeah, thanks everyone for the advice, I ended up paying for it, my car still doesn't feel the same as before, after sending it for repairs I've lost my heater, so now when I turn the heater on my car blows cold air, any ideas anyone?, my car now stumbles pretty bad on startup, any ideas please @Vee_Que ?

Yeah, I'll be taking it to the GRM club event/event on Saturday, so it'll get a good hard drive then, lol, fingers crossed that fixes the problem though ;)

Got a feeling darc has checked all vac hoses?
I'm not heading to the grm meet. Got my girlfriends birthday on.
Have the Vic arthurs seat run on a couple weeks later.

Hey Darc, my hp has a cold start problem where is scarcely starts first try then is a pig to get going until it's warm. There is also the slow shaky idle you described as a cat purring. Further it randomly cuts out but only like a brief miss, never enough for it to stop, often in the same stretch of road & I can't work out if it's corner/bump/heat/voodoo
related. It's damn frustrating!

I've always had issues due to the wires at the back of the motor leading to the crank angle sensor in the distributor, at times if I gun it will cut power etc, get under the bonnet, jiggle the wire and it's good again till I do work under there again. Other issues will literally be related to vacuum leaks due to hoses being ancient. And if the boost is turned up the intercoolers cause roughish idles too.

Yeah ok cheers, Fletch put a new distributor in it when he had it & new hall sensor I believe but I've yet to dig about in there as it's supposed to be new, chances are that's it tho. There's nothing stopping me chucking a 240 auxiliary shaft & block mount dizzy in it I don't imagine?

Yeah, that's exactly the same as my problem, I have no problem driving my 740 HP but it does drive like a pig as well, it feels like it's not getting enough fuel, hopefully both of our cars will have the same fix ;)

Yeah, it's still got the origional turbocharger, but I have received a boost valve for it, however I haven't installed it yet, Alex, if your gonna be at the GRM open day, I'll show you the problem with the heater, as mark had a look and didn't find the cause

What I mean is the wiring for the crank angle sensor, they do cause their own issues, not the sensor itself unless that's full of oil.

Not sure what you mean by not getting enough fuel? You might need to make a film of it and post it up.

heheh. mine had issues while i was running my vent to atmosphere BOV. after i swapped from the plumb back. and now its running better and starting better with the dual port bov.
