Power to weight ratio my boy, that will be 2.5kg of weight/drag the more stuff bolted to car the slower it will go unless its a sports car and 740s are not that they have the aero dynamics of a BRICK

yeah, it'd do a lot better with a boost valve and an ipd cam on it, manuals have more "get up and go" opposed to auto transmissions \:D/
edit: whens that manual transmission being put in it ?

when you read the book I lent you, you will find the Automatic is quicker the AW71 does 0-60mph (0-97kph) under 8 seconds, nothing said about the manual. [-X

Most people cant drive manuals and steer at the same time,the gearing is wrong in most cases , the automatic only needs a line pressure increase and accumulator mod and its a rocket with power when you need it and plenty of time to see where you are going.

Education time, sell more manual gearboxes than autos, because manuals fail more, the price is higher and autos are cheaper :-B ^:)^

Manuals only burn clutches with learner drivers or people who don't know how to modulate the clutch or start in second gear which is stupid! Also the M46 is just a weak box.
For the record my wagon does 0-100 in just under 7 seconds with an AUTO....

And he puts one link to one person, My old 740 Turbo manual needed a M46 rebuild, which it got 3 years ago and now needs another, and this is the stronger box from the 760Turbo with better overdrive.
How long will his last, lets bet. $-)
