BigEd I might check out the s40s, never really popped up on the radar. Did consider the c30 t5 they look kinda cool.
Chris I was thinking of the older S/V40 but certainly a newer gen S40/V50/C30 T5 would fit the bill as a comfy but fun DD
egads Earlier s40/v40 t4 manual is definitely worth a look for a cheap and comfy and fun daily. I have had a v50 t5 too and it was great to daily with plenty of punch and a dynamic feel
Spac When you can buy a manual S40 T4 for less than half of what most similar-condition auto NA 240s are advertised for, then you can probably understand why I am not driving 240s anymore... ;)
Essbos BigEd;c-146430 wrotewell, i think it looks neat, haven't seen it in the flesh yet https://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/avalon/cars-vans-utes/manual-volvo-240-sedan/1195661725 Test drive this if you can. A manual 240 is a good thing. Just be upfront with the seller that you are still working out if a 240 is right for you. Maybe you will really like it and want to drive it some more, or not. I love driving mine.
Vee_Que My s40 has t4 suspension fitted. It goes ok. Just the handling, I'm not a fan of fwd handling feel.
