Yep, I agree with @Angus242164 My father had a new 75 244DL, one of the early full imports. Was definitely B21E + 3 speed auto. No air, steer or stereo as standard. You used to see 242 DLs about, and they were manual + carb

The '75 I have is very early, January '75 compliance I think, it's an Australian assembled example though.

I don't think so, as far as I know the B21A equipped models were:
'75 242DL, all were Aussie assembled, with Stromberg CD175.
'78-'80 244DL, with SU.
'78-'79 245L, with SU.
I'm not sure if '78-'80 245DL's were carby or injected, I can't recall seeing many wagons with carbies. They might have used the more powerful engine due to the extra load capacity over the sedans.
'83-'84 240DL, which was sedan only, auto only, and sold mostly to rental car companies.
