Looks neat but I would doubt it'll sell for $6500

Same, I think its worth around 4K

worth a little more if it's as neat as neat as it looks, and if the odometer is still working.
5k or even 5.5k if he advertised it on carsales.
Drive one and you will understand why.

Only 850r of this era I have driven was disappointing compared to a t5. Street driving though so maybe better on track or twisties.

Too harsh?
egads (she/her)
Not punchy enough, boosts too late to use.
nickm
Interesting the T5 and the R run the same boost the R just gives an extra shot at WOT from what I can tell. The VVT T5 is a different thing.
egads (she/her)
R is larger turbo isn't it?
nickm
Only on the late model manual with the LSD and then it is the same as the V70 T5 running the same updated ECU.
Auto 850R runs a 15G same as a T5 850. Something may have been up with the one you drove.

Interestingly,
When stock, my 1995 850T5 auto went WAY harder than my current 1998 V70T5 auto.
In the middle of these two and between other cars, I had a 1997 S70T5 manual which, stock, was way better than both.

Same,my S70t5 had some chip in it....Mark Richardson commented on it when he drove it....

$5500 nothing lower best of luck and that's with some parts removed ,
Rego is due , says 1 month in gumtree and no recent major services in the past 12 months. Car has been in storage and does come with service books. Originally purchased in Darwin , bought down from Qld, looks nice ,certainly a good looker red ones go faster so they say ..hope it finds a nice home. Sweet not worth $6500 best offer was 4800 and the reply was..." since it has a 4 in the front you already have the answer.
$5500 is bottom as is, after which I will remove things like the $500 worth of premium drilled slotted brake rotors on it and offer more flexibility on price for the bottom feeders. " . .. Nice one. !!
