Quite possible... Will have to do a remove and realign of the silicon hoses. The throttle body hose seems the "worst" chance of doing this.
Just strange it was sometimes then a lot then less but sometimes more? Strange.

Realigned and "trimmed" throttle body hose. Now have boost!
Annoyingly we now have overboost (hitting 20psi) in upper rev range............
Ex850R
What is the boost before it goes into OB?
Are the AFRs still good at that point?
Remind me , did you get a tune or is it a MBC screw?
L.
crosspug
Neither, standard but using an delco bcv.
Boost sits at about 9 then overboost and drops to 7-8.
Ex850R
Geez!
20?? Does it stay there long?
Are you reading the AFRs?
Is the spring you put in the CBV a standard one?
@Philia_Bear‌ may have an insight to why .
crosspug
Doesn't stay long, fuel cut kicks in it assume to protect the engine.
I did move the boost gauge pick up point to the the vacuum tree from inline of the line that has all the one way valves on it? I'll look up the name later.

Check your wastegate is set correctly. YouTube search for ipdusa turbo 101 for adjustment guide.
Boost spike is normal in the small td04 family.

Thanks, I'll try and have a look this weekend....

So didn't get to the wastegate...
But car now has new lower control arms, XC90 front spring mounts, strut bearings etc..., Koni Yellows front, older Koni sport rear, IPD lowering springs, tie rods, drop links, rear shock mounts, new EBC brake pads all round.
Wow I love working on this car, there is nothing overly difficult about any of that works with two blokes and some car stands!
Only thing I missed was swaybar mounts which are well shagged. Next time.
Off for an alignment today. Then some photos of a very dirty car.... But she's nice and low!
