Air box hose orientation

Can someone please help me... I've damaged one arm and don't have any strength in it to try the 4x combinations... I removed the air filter box to clean it. But I forgot to note the orientation of the two connecting hoses/tubes.

1. The first one is the cold air inlet. It goes from the passenger side of the airbox to near the headlight:

Could someone check their 240 of about the same age (mine is a '91) and tell me, does the ~2" straight section of the tube (the end without accordion ridges) go towards the airbox, or to the headlight?

2. The second tube goes from the airbox to the Air Mass Meter/Mass Air Flow Sensor:

One end has a ridge on the outer face that a hose clamp sits behind, but the other end is straight-through with a 90 degree 1cm 'expansion notch'. I think the notched end goes towards the MAF - is that correct?

Starting from the inlet behind the headlight the unribbed section is the beginning (no hose clamp there) then after the airbox the hose with the small cutout fits to the AMM

Thank you. :-) Do you know if notch on the second tube goes to the AMM, or the airbox? I think I remember it being at the AMM, but not sure now.

Yeah, I know, it doesn't make any difference as long it goes on. One shoulder is shot. So I'm working with one weak arm trying to get the airbox, tubes, and new AMM in. Leaning over and push/pulling at the same time is agony. If it had to come off again for some reason, I'd have to grab a stranger off the street to get it back off, LOL.

Oh, I see what you're saying now. (It can be taken two ways... a) the hose that has the notch goes to the AMM, or b) the notch in the hose goes to the AMM.)
