• Non-Volvo
  • New daily . Goodbye valiant hello Triton

So with ongoing house issues and a lack of time and money to stay on top of the valiant my new daily is this 2012 Mitsubishi Triton glxr auto 4x4 diesel
Nowhere near as smooth as the xc90d5 but seems to do the job and is fairly comfortable and well equipped being the top of the range model , and being a dual cab the rear with a canopy is proving very handy for picking up stuff for the house but is a bit thirstier that the Volvo . Great for towing up to 3000kg and is seriously good off road in super select 4wd mode .
Need to fit a snorkel and maybe get a 2 inch lift before heading to Fraser Island for a camping trip .
All in all seems like a great car even if white dual cab utes are a dime a dozen up here , it’s great not to have to worry about sandy dogs being on the seats or surf boards !!
Why did the valiant need to go instead of go on club reg!? Keep an eye on the oil levels and make sure that it does its dpd burns. It will leave you stranded.
Triton is good for mates of ours, they took it to northern WA via the Alice inland north of victoria and back through to Brisbane or thereabouts, only had a pwr steer pump or hose break, odd as they stayed on the tracks.
They use it for farm delivery of big stuff to paddock and commute to city for fun.
They love it. Time for new vehicles so now going for a Ranger.
@Vee_Que needed a daily , it was on club rego but started to see bubbles of rust as it was outside near the sea and the Triton was a straight swap and with on going renovations it’s ideal and was worth a couple more k than the valiant
Hey @Morgan , where abouts are you guys living now?
Kingscliff , northern nsw about 1/2 hour from Byron bay
Wow!
That looks terrible! lol

Fantastic stuff. Hope the family is enjoying the change.
It’s great , especially this time of year compared to torquay which was our other option
Torquay is COLD at the moment!
We're building in Mount Duneed, so a little closer, but still very cold.
