The 60' is crap, the car is pretty difficult to launch. It either bogs down and barely moves, or spins and gets fairly violent wheel hop. Apparently this is a common FWD problem, and the solution is usually stiffer engine mounts and suspension bushes. This plus fitting the RE003s should help the ET quite a bit.

Realistically though, I'm only interested in seeing the difference in MPH after mods.

It looks like SuperPro make stiffer control arm bushes. This likely to cause:
Whiteline BHR90XZ rear swaybar
Hardrace rear camber and toe kits
SuperPro front and rear swaybar link kits
Front swaybar D bushes
Eibach 25/20mm springs

You should bring it down here so that we can do an I30 vs. Astra diesel hatchback showdown.
The Astra would be much faster! 25kw/65Nm difference.
The gap may have closed a little by now, the Astra is about to reach 385,000km this week.
Still, seems like a huge difference! The i30 just ticked over 180,000.

I'm interested to see what it can do after tune though.

Me too. I'd expect about 60-65kw.

The auto I had made 70 at the wheels
I'd expect more than that out of your manual
Why did you dyno it? It was completely standard? Any chance you have the dyno graph?

The silver stock i30 was stock :-)
Don't think it was 70, it was still notably less than the 73.4kw I made for memory so maybe in the 60's

The car currently sits at 199,000km. Gaskets should arrive tomorrow so I can do the EGR/intake manifold clean, but I'm already back at work.

I'd also like to find somewhere in the engine bay to neatly mount a Mann Provent 200 catch can.

After that, it'll be time for a new clutch.

At 265,000km or so, the original turbo started sounding like a siren, so we sourced a genuine Garrett replacement from United Fuel Injection. The exhaust manifold gasket wasn't available genuine, however the Permaseal item looks identical. All EGR components still look spotless.

I think it's time to do something about the uneven rear tyre wear on this car. All FD model i30s appear to have excessive rear camber. The issue was noticeable with 205/55R16s, but much more pronounced with the 225/45R17s. This can be managed to some degree by rotating the tyres, but the end result is still less than ideal.

Looking at the IRS layout, it appears that both adjustable camber rods and toe rods are required. This would make sense, as both are available. They're worth as much a set of tyres though, and I've had no luck finding a decent alignment shop in the area, so I'm still trying to decide if it's worth doing.

Are you able to make them up yourself with some tube steel and thread? These things are pretty expensive I know, for what they are....

I could do that, but the R&D to get one set right just wouldn't be worth it.
