Ben I just read up on the ACT version and came across this: Substituting the original engine with a manufacturer’s optional engine is a modification that does not require certification. Do you think that has to be an optional engine for that particular model? *shifty eyes*
egads (she/her) It would be by what model is on the compliance. So 900's can have 16v, 8v or jurbo. R sport parts would make certain years of 244's and 245's able to be jurbo too but you would need to use those kits rather than +t'ing.
Ben Damn, thought so. I'll just continue with building it then engineering it. The fact that the turbo is a family engine will make things much easier.
Vee_Que I think your best course of action is to contact an engineer Ben! Would Ike be able to help out otherwise?
Ben Yeah I have, a guy up here in Canberra. Shouldn't be too expensive. My plan (for when I have some fucking spare money), is to swap the engine with a B230FT, re-tune, new exhaust and fit all the stuff in the boot (spacers, oil cooler, panhard, etc..), take it to Canberra and get it engineered with a view of further mods in the future. Who's Ike?
Vee_Que He has a Volvo workshop in Canberra, I never remember the workshop name. Wino knows where he is..
egads (she/her) Really good work, honest, god rep, not the cheapest but you get what you pay for. @forg has had more work done there than I have though.
