Hi Guys,

Just trying to figure out what these seals are for. They are from a elring B230 Crankcase gasket kit. Does anyone know?

large flat rubber seal on lower left of pic looks like oil filler cap gasket.
the 8 small rubber seals could be the valve hushers that sit under the lifters, but the shape doesn't look quite right.
This is a crankcase kit though, I'll give the filler cap a try tomorrow. And those other ones are to big to be valve hushers
Yep, lower left is oil filler cap. The 8 round things are for an early b21 or b23 And hold on the metal timing cover. The 3 large o-rings suit the distributor shaft where it goes into the block and the pvc box where it goes to the box.

I'm assuming you have more of the small fat o-rings? They go on the kjet injectors.

As for the copper washers, most if those would be for k-jet. A couple for sensors that go into the head.
I bought this specified for a 95 940, so from what you are saying these kits are a everything included for all engines from early 240's to the last 940's?

That fat oring is the only one in the crankcase gasket kit.

It is strange and confusing they put things in this for stuff located on the head.

Thanks for the help guys
Yeah the kits are generally generic across the whole range. I figure it's just easier for the suppliers to have 1 kit that you end up having extras parts in that having to have multiple different kits.

Also, think I've figure out another one. The small o-ring is probably for the dipstick.
