Where is the best source for these? What are the options for 7's & 9"s?
AshDVS
Which option you should choose will depend on your application, whether you just need to replace worn out shocks on a DD vs you like to do some more 'spirited' driving vs you want to do some track work or perhaps some rallying, etc, etc.
It also depends on your budget, too and in some cases some spring sets work better when combined with one shock absorber or another.

Actually have anyone used Koni Adjustable before, in the Soft setting are they still harder than the Bilsten HDs ?
PaulG
By the recommendation of DVS and Ash I went with Bilsteins and DVS king springs in my 240. Absolutely ideal for what I was wanting. It all depends on what your personal needs are going to be I guess, this is where professionals with experience with lots of different set ups will be helpful. Ash will be able to help you out with it all

Koni adjustable yellows on my 245 wagon were great!
Koni adjustable yellows on my 850R were shite! Too harsh.
On V70 not too bad but that was V70T suspension. Made the car sit lower too!!!! Weird!

Cause I am thinking doing DIY Coilovers in the front of 940, was thinking using the Bilstens HD that i got or go Koni Adjustable

I'm going with BSR springs, (made for Volvo), I've read that U.S. Bilstien's are valved differently to Australian units?!?!?!? Koni Sport adjustables are valved universally from the factory. Koni's are a touch more pricey, like a couple of hundred more per set!!!!! Skox.com looks like one of the best sources.
Anyone have any more thoughts?

Talk to Ash,he.can make a suspension fit YOU like a glove even allowing for beards and wigs......He sells it,builds it, races it and helps you make what you want to achieve from it.

Not for 7s and 9s. They are relative orphans.
As I said in person. The hds are a taller shock compared to b6s. But the 960 uses different front shocks anyway which makes the decision harder Combined with the rear being different too.
940, well konis aren't as tried and tested @spac isn't a fan of them either for some cars iirc.

I did mean shox.com! Bad eyes/typing. Any other sources to buy Bilstiens/Koni's for 940?

940 power steering has started complaining too. Vibration when turning while stationary or moving slowly and a bit of a groan as well. Hadn't planned on that.

FCPEuro ? IPD ?

I've managed to complete sets of front rubber & poly, bushes, strut bearings, rear rubber bushes, & engine mounts & tranny mounts.
I need to get drive shaft bearing, springs and shocks next week. A fat rear sway bar to match standard front would be nice. Hopefully I wont need an adjustable panhard bar at this stage. We'll see though.
AshDVS
Vibration or groan may even be a strut mount.
Definitely worth checking.
Be a little wary where you use urethane and always opt for decent rubber bushes. Scantech rubber products are generally to be avoided.

Mostly Meyle I believe. I know some Meyle are from Thailand, Rubber comes from Thailand!
Strut bearing maybe?

Thank you.
Happy to help or even just bounce ideas around.

I wouldnt say koni's arent 'tried and tested' - you're talking about a company founded in 1857 (though it wasnt til the 1930s that they began making shock absorbers).
The point may very well be whether they're suited to a certain vehicle or spring rather any better/worse than something else.
If talking about modest increases in spring rate and a car that mostly spends its time on the road, Sachs are a good option too.

When talking about 740 and 940s though :p

I don't like Koni twin tube shocks for two main reasons:
1. Way too much high speed compression dampening. Makes the ride very harsh on typical crappy Australian roads.
2. They fade and then leak when used hard on dirt roads.
Both problems relate to their twin tube design. They work pretty well as race shocks (where low speed comp dampening is virtually all that's important). Their external adjustment is pretty crude, but does offer a useful tuning aid for a race car.
Bilsteins use the almost-universal-for-performance-shocks monotube design (that Koni motorsport shocks also use). This also makes them relatively easy to rebuild and revalve.
The Bilstein rears I had in my 940 weren't under dampened the way Bilstein 240 rears are.

Has anyone used the BSR springs (Lesjofres I think)? and where should I get the Bilsteins from?
AshDVS
Lesjofors are rebranded B&G or vice versa.
