Yes I am but aside from the price, the black horizontal bit across the middle on either side of the unit does not match my rear lights.

I have also seen ones that have 2 black lines on the sides, see here:

I'm beginning to suspect that they changed the look of the unit to suit the year model and I may need to get the exact one for my year.

yes they did change the look for the soft nose volvo 740 model ! :)

Yep the design is different for models before '90 (the link I posted) and '90/'91 models (the second pic).

With the earlier ones, the trim strips on the sides can be either black (Turbo, possibly some GL) or silver (760T, GLE).

I have silver ones on mine, but I'm considering changing the the strips to black. I was going to paint them or put some sort of vinyl tape over them, but if you buy that one, perhaps we could trade strips.

I'd expect so Darc but there are some differences between my 1990 and the 1989 & earlier models.

By the way, I found that picture above on the Volvo Parts Malaysia facebook page. They only want $116US and an estimated $50US for postage with the payment to be made by Western Union!

I declined their kind offer.

Awesome ;) , The first image of the rear garnish at the top of the page is for a Volvo 740 and 760 from 1984-1989 and the one I quoted you on before was the soft nose models garnish for a 740 from 1990-1994 with the stripped tail light lens opposed to the Volvo 740 one from 1984-1989 which is for the box rear tail light lenses that are usually found on Volvo 740 turbo,gle, gl and turbo diesel 740s up to 1989 :)

100% certain that I'm correct because I wreck Volvo 740s on a regular basis, and I've got 2 of my own, :) ,I forgot to mention were wrecking a Volvo 740 16 valve wagon next week, is their any chance I can see a pic of the back of you're 740 so I can see if the tail lights were changed, maybe that's why it doesn't look as it should ?

That last one looks like an '83-'87 760/'85-'89 740 one, with no strips fitted at the sides. Probably sold that way new, to avoid having more than one part number, and then you had to fit either black of chrome strips, as required.

What the postage to 4211 for a garnish for my 1990 740 GLE
