I would go back to basics mate, get rid of the cop, obviously not firing on all cylinders which is probably where the fuel smell is coming from, leads and dizzy work well so no real need to change, standard injectors and map and see if it runs right then go from there

Have you got new plugs?
Genuine volvo only or Beru, who make them.
Bougicord leads, new volvo dizzy stuff.
MAF could be toast too. Ive got several it seems! New and used good ones.

Hey @Jamest5r_ it's back on to dizzy already as driving on 3 cylinders obviously wasn't an option. I mainly went for the COP conversion because I'd read good things and I was already ordering the Vast tune. And was feeling unusually flush money-wise that particularly week! I'll try to find the original injectors and give that a go.
@Ex850R the plugs are Bosch about 5000ks old, I'll try the other set of Bougicords that I have. As for the MAF, I did try another one that I had but it's entirely possible they're both no good I suppose. I'll order a new dizzy etc this weekend.
Thanks guys. Ideally I'd still like someone to take a look though.

I'm in Karana downs so about 45mins from you depending on whereabouts you are on the gc, don't mind having a look mate b

Edit but I haven't the spares to swop and check your lambda sensor could be toast ready the fueling

Bosh plugs, no, gotta be volvo.
MAF will show if you unplug it, the ecu goes to a safe map and you should be able to drive and boost fine with it.
Did you make it 4.4 with the tune?

Thanks @Jamest5r_ I appreciate that. I very recently replaced the O2 sensor as it felt like it was running rich, unfortunately that didn't make a difference. My warning light is still constantly on though, even immediately after reconnecting the battery.

Pretty sure I tried it with it unplugged @Ex850R and it made no difference, I'll have another go tomorrow though just to be sure. Thanks

Crank position sensor?
Knock sensor/s? (ex$pensive...)
Cam position sensor?
patchyfog
@Ex850R that's why I'd like someone with some knowledge to take a look, otherwise I'm just going to be buying part after part
Ex850R
Those parts all need done at this age, knock sensors not really..
They are not expensive if you are keeping the car.
It's all part of a 'stage 0' that you get it all back to an as new point and then it's just mechanical issues after that. The cars are old, all these bits and hoses are stuffed.
When you buy a p80 it then costs you $2000 to get it right if you don't want to have it strand you somewhere.

Thanks for all the help.
