Pretty beat up old springs from my parts car I bought off Pat/Ovlover.
Pretty rusty
Not sure what years they fit but the parts car was a 92

No ocean, but sat for 10 Years or so

Springs should NEVER be sandblasted. The surface of a suspension spring is highly stressed, and sensitive to both notches and corrosion.

Bead blast them if you must. But if there are corrosion pits in the springs, bin them, because they're junk.

Us Volvo folks ought to be safety conscious. :D Just that suspension springs are some of the most highly stressed parts of the car. If you break an engine at speed, you stop.

But if you break a spring at speed, you stop hard, usually into something solid.
