This is the radiator that i bought.
I bought the same one!
So seems we've bought the same hey . Hmm , are you happy with the replacement ? I'm weighing up to go back to oem you know .
To be honest i think it's about time to take this off the road for a couple of months and get this car sorted of sorts . ...

Well, 20 minutes in and the replacement doesn't leak.

Keep up the updates . I'm not taking mine out of the drive now obviously with the amount or fluid I'm loosing.

Think today's taske is to whip the rad out . Any thoughts on this , ie getting it repaired and tested , send it back or buy a new one ?

It's most likely the screw in fittings for the oil cooler. Did you use thread tape on it? You probably won't be able to remove the fittings as they destroy the threads and will probably need to be welded in place. It will end up better with them being welded in place.

Unfortunately ( or fortunately ) i didn't fit it . I had it fitted at a garage when i had all the front top mounts done at the same time . ...

Check the thread then. Some liquid thread sealer is best.

You may get away with putting a screw in where the hole is,silly I know but if you do it right it'll last till welding. Just get it welded and tested.

Will grab some tools and get it out . Not lost any more coolant over night so obviously loosing the coolant when the rad is hot etc . I'll check back in later ...

Well that was a barrel of laughs ! All out . So this is the corner in question. Will try find someone tomorrow. Do you think its worth changing the ac condenser while everything is out ?

Wow. I'd send them a picture and say this is poor quality material as it should not have cracked.

You should get a new one.

If not, weld it up.....

That looked like a crack to me as well . It's just a scratch upon looking at it . Im just cleaning it atm....

So i gave it the old hot water treatment. Couple of boiled water from the kettle on the area just to see if any bubbles would appear lol . Nothing ...

Yeah I'd love to send it back . I will email them though with pictures.

Seems a good time to stop building old 80's push bikes and try and get the car sorted .

Yeah it could be anything hey . I'll find somewhere tomorrow on the way home . There's a few advertised local so thats good .

So to cheer myself up i gave the front grill a coat of black and put an R on it lol

Ok , got the verdict today , watched the pressure test and its in the core

Yeah, he said about the stuff you can buy from car accessories shops but it's hardly a fix . So ordered a new one . And not this type, back to oem . Lesson learned me thinks .

Indeed. I sell and buy 80's push bike parts and it's getting painful buying from the states.

Got the new replacement on Wednesday and had a play. Trying to finish it off bit its getting a bit wet over here
