240 Tyre pressure psi

Just wondering what Volvo 240 owner use for their car? Front and back?

We've been following the standard recommended by Volvo but found it a bit soft.

The tyre shop bumped it up when we changed tyres and it feels better.

All depends what your running tire wise, and if you tow/load your car up with stuff.

Normally have about 2.3 bar / 34 psi
I have stock 15 inch steelies

I use 40 psi

Normally the specified pressure is geared towards comfort, rather than fuel economy or handling.
So I add a few psi because of that.
The pressures are also cold pressures, normally when doing the tyres, I've already been driving for a bit so the pressures are "higher". So I always put 37 or 38psi.

I run 40psi because my tyre treads always feather if I run less.

35-40 psi - Tires say max is 40 so I just to keep it there abouts or just a bit lower.

35psi usually, but I haven't tried much else. I'll give 40 a go and see how I like it :)

What tyres?
40 may cause them to baloon out in the middle giving you less traction!

Starfire (Cooper) RS-C 2.0, 185/70R14 on factory 14x5.5 +25 steelies. They have visible sag around the bottom at 35psi, dunno if they're supposed to or not, just went with what Tyrepower inflated them to. Max pressure is 44psi, written on the sidewall.

Aren't your 240 14" wheels 20mm offset?
