Yeah, if you have a museum...
You'd be stretching your luck if you told them you want to import it for club shows, etc. But even if approved, you won't be able to register it or drive it on the streets.
If you want a 780 to drive, get an 88. Yes, 88s are V6s only, but you can swap in a B230FT. And you can register them in OZ for road use. BTW, to get rego in NSW under the 30 year rule, you have to wait until the actual month of manufacture to come 'round. So I have to wait until May before I can do my April 88 car. Victoria lets you do rego at 25 years, so the other 780 in OZ (an 87) is already running around.
